Franco Ferrari:
Mr. Ferrari was born in a small town in Italy and became an American by choice and by the grace of God. He received his associate’s degree in Business Administration in 1967 and also served 2 years in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. Mr. Ferrari was elected President of the cement contractor association at the age of 24 where he became an expert at the art of negotiating contracts. He was a licensed general contractor in Michigan and became a licensed home builder in Florida in 1973. After that venture in 1975, he started a chain of restaurants with family members and grew it to 15 locations before embarking in a business brokerage career in 1985.
He became the first Sunbelt Business Broker Franchisee in Florida in 1993. Franco was president of the Florida Business Brokers Association’s Central Florida chapter for two years and served on the state Board of Directors for 10 years. He was elected State Chairman for two years and also received the CFBI (Certified Florida Business Intermediary) title. He was FBBA training and orientation director for 10 years and was presented the honorary lifetime member award from FBBA as well. In 1997, Mr. Ferrari joined the Institute of Certified Business Counselors and by March 2, 1998 was awarded the Professional Designation of Certified Business Counselor – CBC. Mr. Ferrari also joined IBBA in 1995 and earned the CBI (Certified Business Intermediary) designation in 2004.
Franco is a member of SCORE and besides counseling does a monthly seminar on “How to start your business”. He serves on the advisory boards of both Bank First Community Bank and the Disney-SBA National Entrepreneur Center in Orlando, FL. Franco has served as chairman of the program committee at the NEC where he continuously promotes small business through programs such as: “How to Sell a Business”, “How to Buy a Business”, and “Exit Strategy & Retirement Planning”. Franco also served as chairman on the President’s Advisory Counsel of Sunbelt Business Brokers Franchise. Franco is an avid promoter of Central Florida’s business community on his weekly talk – radio show “The Business Advisor” on “How to Buy, Grow, and Sell a Business Right!”
On June of 2010, Franco proudly announced that Sunbelt Business Brokers of Orlando merged with Corporate Investment International Inc. and increased not only the professional workforce in Mainstreet Business Brokerage and Mergers & Acquisition, now the combined companies offer additional services such as Business Valuations, Business Plans, Business Consulting, as well as Exit Planning.
